It is also known as the SSC MTS exam. The SSC MTS exam is conducted in various Ministries / Departments / Offices of the Government of India in various States / Union Territories for the recruitment of candidates for Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post of General Central Service Group Non-C ‘.
SSC MTS 2022 Notification
Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the SSC MTS exam. The notification of SSC MTS 2022 is expected to be released on 05 February 2022. In 2019, around 38 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The tentative vacancies for MTS Exam 2022 are 7000. The best part of the MTS exam is its eligibility criteria which are matriculation pass or equivalent. Like other government exams, where the selection process is a two-stage process, the MTS exam is no different. It consists of the following two stages:

SSC MTS 2022 Vacancy

SSC MTS 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The minimum age of a candidate should be 18 years and his age should not be more than 25 years. Apart from the age requirement mentioned, age relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates should have passed matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- If a candidate does not pass the qualifying examination before the last date of receipt of the application form, he is not allowed to apply.
SSC MTS Selection Process
The SSC MTS selection process is a two-stage process.
- SSC MTS Paper I: Written Examination
- SSC MTS Paper-II: Descriptive Examination
Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective-type multiple choice question.
Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination that involves writing a short essay or paper in English or

Paper-II will be of qualifying nature only and is intended to test primary language skills. Paper-II will be conducted only for those candidates who fulfill the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-1 for various categories.
Paper-II is only qualifying in nature. However, marks scored by candidates in Paper-II will be used to decide eligibility in case of general marks having more than one candidate with the same marks in Paper-I.
SSC MTS 2022 Exam Pattern
The previous year session of the examination saw a change in the paper pattern of SSC MTS.
The exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper 2.
Paper 1 is conducted online while Paper 2 is pen and paper-based.
SSC MTS Exam Pattern for Paper I
- There will be four sections in SSC MTS Paper I.
- The duration of the SSC MTS exam will be 90 minutes for General candidates and 120 minutes for PwD candidates.
- Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs, one of which will be correct.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
- No marks will be deducted for incorrect or unanswered questions.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern for Paper II
SSC MTS Paper-II will be conducted only for those candidates who fulfill the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-1 for various categories.
- SSC MTS will be paper-II pen and paper mode paper which will be descriptive in nature.
- The paper will be set in Hindi, English and other languages mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
- The maximum mark is 50 marks.
- The duration of SSC MTS Paper-II is 30 minutes for the General category and 40 minutes for PwD category candidates.

SSC MTS Syllabus Paper 2
The objective of SSC MTS Paper 2 is to test primary language skills due to the classification of the post as Group-C and given the requirements of the job.
A short Essay/Letter in English or in any other language is included in the 8th part of the constitution

SSC MTS Online Application 2022: Registration Process
SSC MTS Registration 2022 is required for the candidates to follow these steps. Following steps are necessary for successful online registration of the exam:

- Click on the link for the application link given on the page. The registration link opens in a new window.
- Click on the new registration in the SSC MTS 2022 application window and then click on the Register button.
- First of all, the candidates are required to provide basic details like name, parent’s name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, etc.
- Click on submit button to submit your completed online form of SSC MTS 2022. Please verify your details before submitting the form.
- All candidates have been issued the registration ID for SSC MTS 2022 exam.

- The picture must be clicked against a white or light-colored background and must be more than 4 KB in size and less than 12 KB. The resolution of the photograph should be 100 * 120 pixels in width and height.
Signature:
- The signature must be in black or blue ink on a white sheet. The scan copy of the signature must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb in size and less than 12 kb. The resolution should be 40 * 60 pixels in width and height.
- Login with the registered ID and password to fill Part-II of the online form of SSC MTS 2022.
- After filling the application form, candidates have to preview the entire application form of SSC MTS 2022 once to see any glitch in the form. Verify all the data you entered.
- After previewing the entire online SSC MTS application form, click on the last submit button. It is recommended that candidates download and obtain print copies of the submitted application form of SSC MTS 2022. Lastly, candidates can apply for SSC MTS 2022 through online mode or offline mode of fee payment to submit the application fee.

SSC MTS Admit Card 2022
Candidates who successfully apply for SSC MTS Recruitment 2022 will be able to download the SSC MTS Admit Card. SSC MTS Admit Card is 10 days before the exam date. However, the admit card was issued region-wise on the official site of the regions.
The admit card for Paper-1 will be issued first, followed by the admit card for Paper-2. The SSC MTS Admit Card for Paper-2 will be issued to the candidates who have successfully cleared the first phase of the SSC MTS 2022 exam.
SSC MTS Answer Key 2022
When the candidates have successfully appeared for SSC MTS 2022 exam, the answer key will be released by the Commission. Candidates can check the answer key and object if any. The answer key will help the candidates to compare their response and compare it with the final answer key provided by SSC.
SSC MTS Result 2022
After the SSC MTS Answer Key is released, the SSC MTS result is released. The result is released in PDF form. Candidates whose roll numbers are in the list will be called for another paper. A cut-off is issued by the commission. The candidates have to secure the cut-off prescribed by the Commission.

SSC Multi-Tasking Staff is a Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post of a General Central Service Group Non-C ‘which falls under Pay Band-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800. SSC MTS salary of Rs. 1000 comes around – Rs.22000.
- The SSC MTS salary structure is based on the impact of the 7th Pay Commission on central government departments.
- The 7th Pay Commission has influenced that the pay structure is in some positive way. The salary by hand is around 20,000 per month.
- The pay structure includes several aspects such as dearness allowance on basic pay, DA (DA), HRA (house rent allowance), TA (TA) and TA.
